Todd Davis suffers partial calf muscle tear in practice

Denver Broncos linebacker Todd Davis suffered a partial tear in a calf muscle on Thursday at Broncos training camp and is expected to miss 3-4 weeks, as first reported by Nicki Jhabvala of The Athletic.

Davis is a key cog to the Broncos defense as Denver failed to bring in depth at the linebacker position in the offseason, putting a lot of confidence in Davis and linebacker Josey Jewell.

Under the 3-4 week timetable that Davis is expected out, he could return to action before the Broncos open the regular season on September 9th against the Raiders.

Davis collected 114 tackles (80 solo) for the Broncos in 2018 to go with half a sack, six tackles for loss and one interception.
