Dicks Sporting Goods Park is set to host the 48th annual Denver Sevens Rugby Tournament Saturday, June 27. There are seven different divisions that are going to be participating in the tournament including Men’s Frontier Qualifier, women’s, men’s social, men’s collegiate, boys high school, girls high school and youth teams.

The format is a typical Rugby Sevens with seven players in a fast-paced match that only last about 20 minutes.

The Glendale Raptors and Denver Barbarians are local teams that usually draw in large crowds. They are playing in the Men’s Frontier Qualifier division.

Colorado State University’s rugby team will be competing in the collegiate division.

The high school boys division will include the Rocky Mountain Rebels, Bolder Boys, Denver East High School, Palmer High School, Regis High School, Northside Dragon Boys and Monarch High School.

For the high school girls, Westside SWARM High School club, Glendale Raptors Girls club, Chaparral High School and Palmer High School Terror Girls will be the local fan favorites.

The tournament will be held on 12 fields at Dicks Sporting Goods Park beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. The final game will start at 6:00 p.m same day. Entry is free. For directions visit denversevenrugby.com.
