The Nuggets will host the Utah Jazz Thursday evening on TNT. Utah has defeated Denver in their last three matchups and has been a thorn in the Nuggets side for some time.

Betting Trends/Stats:

The Nuggets opened as -1.5 point favorites, and that number has not changed. 58% of public money is heading towards Denver ATS.

Denver will host Utah after a pitiful loss to the Memphis Grizzlies Tuesday. Utah will come to the Mile High City on a two-game losing streak and on the second night of a back-to-back.

The over/under is set at 215.5, with 66% of public money funneling towards the over.

The Nuggets are currently 21-23-3 against the spread this season and have covered five times in their last 10 games. Additionally, the Nuggets have hit the over just three times in their previous five games.

Denver has been sharp straight up, posting a 32-15 record this season. The Nuggets are 22-8 against teams with a losing record.

Utah is currently 25-21-1 ATS and has failed to cover in their last three games. The Jazz have hit the over in back-to-back games.

These two teams play similar styles of basketball. Both squads run through their big men in Nikola Jokic and Rudy Gobert and place a premium on defense. Addiotnanlly, both teams are not known to run up the scoreboard and instead slow down the tempo of the game in the half-court.

Utah ranks 9th in defensive rating while the Nuggets rank 11th. The Jazz are great at grabbing rebounds on the defensive end and limit their opponent’s trips to the free-throw line.

On the flip side, Denver is excellent at generating second-chance points given their ability to rebound effectively on the offensive end. Additionally, Denver is coming off a pitiful loss to the Grizzlies that is sure to fire up coach Micahel Malone.
