It was a turbulent weekend for Derek Wolfe who, it was revealed Friday, was suspended for the first four games of the Broncos 2015 season for violation of the league’s performance enhancing drug policy.

On Monday Wolfe addressed his critics in an exclusive interview on Mile High Sports Radio with Eric Goodman and Zach Fogg. In the interview, Wolfe spoke frankly about the suspension and his future with the team.

Clearly, Wolfe is very contrite and ready to move on from the suspension, which he’s known about since April. He’s ready to prove the “internet trolls” and other doubters – including this publication – wrong.

In the interview, Wolfe also spoke about how Wade Phillips’ defense will attack and be aggressive throughout the year.

When asked about Demaryius Thomas’ recent comments about the team not wanting to go to New England and play in the cold – a mindset that might have resulted in a poor performance against Indianapolis in the divisional round. Not wanting to throw specific teammates under the bus, Wolfe did hint that it was players on the offensive side of the ball, saying that no one on the defense was worried about playing in New England.
