Sitting in front of the TV and watching football is a mainstay for many households on a weekly basis for millions of fans. But watching from home is something Broncos defensive lineman Domata Peko isn’t accustomed to.

On Sunday, Peko was inactive with a knee injury and watched from home as his 123-game streak of consecutive games started came to an end.

In an interview with Eric Goodman and Les Shapiro of Mile High Sports AM 1340 | FM 104.7 inside the Broncos’ locker room Monday, Peko said, this weekend felt uncomfortably familiar.

“This is the way our season has been. It’s kind-of like déjà vu,” Peko said, before noting that the television view of his team gave him a new perspective on the Broncos’ troubles. “Just from watching, I saw how bad a situation we’ve been put in, defensively. It seems like the whole year we’ve been battling field position, yesterday was the same story.”
