On August 19, 2014 Colorado Rapids defender Drew Moor went down with a devastating season-ending ACL injury. Fast forward 11 months later and because of his outstanding play, Moor has been named to the 2015 MLS All-Star roster.

In his 11th year in MLS, Moor has been active in 11 games this season. In those contests, Moor has scored one goal, has one assist and a 50% SOG.

“Individual awards are great but (being picked) feels really good. Hopefully my body of work has been enough to prove that I need to be in an All-Star Game, especially here in front of my home fans which is awesome.

“It’s something that if I go out there and step on the field, I will give it absolutely everything I have. It has been a roller coaster season and year for me and to be picked to the All-Star game is pretty special.”

Moor even became emotional upon learning about his selection to the game.

The 2015 All-Star game takes place July 29 at 7 p.m. at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City. The MLS All-Stars will be facing off against the English club Tottenham Hotspur.
