The Denver Broncos will have a new look to their offense; one that may play a bit faster in the upcoming season, considering that they finally have their man under center in Case Keenum.

No more quarterback competition, no more confusion, no more wondering who ‘the guy’ is for Denver bouncing from week to week. And because that dynamic is solved, some of the Broncos’ offensive players are quite excited for the new year.

Wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders joined Eric Goodman of Mile High Sports AM 1340 | FM 104.7 to discuss his new teammate, and he says it feels good to be done with the quarterback controversies.

“Yeah, it feels good to have a guy we can stay after practice with and throw. No quarterback competitions. The whole nine yards. I’m excited about that,” Sanders said. “We’ve just got to keep it going, and hopefully that chemistry comes — and shows on the game on Sundays.”

Sanders says the Broncos’ offense under Keenum could be anything and that the sky is the limit.

“We’ll see. Expectations are high, we’ll see. Who knows, the sky is the limit.”

Many players may have taken a defensive stance to the Broncos drafting their potential replacement — particularly in situations similar to Sanders’, who saw Denver take Courtland Sutton out of SMU in the second round. However, Sanders looks at it as a major help to the team.

“We need more playmakers on the offense,” Sanders said. “Courtland made a big play today, I think he can come in and help us out. It’s all about Sundays; being able to play. Scoring points. Help our defense out and win ballgames.”
