Former CU Buff Spencer Dinwiddie traded to the Chicago Bulls

Spencer Dinwiddie

Former Colorado University basketball standout Spencer Dinwiddie was traded to the Chicago Bulls from the Detroit Pistons in exchange for Cameron Bairstow.

Dinwiddie was drafted by the Pistons in the second round of the 2014 NBA draft. He had a short stint in the D-League before making his NBA debut in October of 2014. He would play in 34 games that year and averaged 4.8 points per game. In the 2015-2016 season, he spent a considerable amount of time in the D-League and dealt with injuries all year long which resulted in his playing time being cut in half.

Dinwiddie is excited to join the Bulls and get a fresh start with a new team as he expressed on his twitter page.

Dinwiddie also wanted to thank Pistons fans.

Hopefully Dinwiddie can make Buff nation and the state of Colorado proud with many successful years with the Bulls.
