The Broncos drafted Garett Bolles knowing they were adding a left tackle with huge potential. After stepping into a starting role from basically day one, Bolles has improved at every turn.

Bolles has so far been rated the best rookie tackle in football, but he’s not content to simply be a great rookie.

“I want to be the best the best tackle to ever play the game,” Bolles told Eric Goodman and Les Shapiro of Mile High Sports as the Broncos prepare to face the Los Angeles Chargers.

Five games in, Bolles knows he still has a long way to go, but he’s feeling more confident and learning and improving with each passing day. He’ll have a chance to put all that to the test on Sunday against two of the best pass rushers in the league, Melvin Ingram and Joey Bosa.

The saying goes, “In order to be the best, you have to beat the best.”

Bolles held his own against that duo in a Week 1 victory over Los Angeles. With four more games under his belt since that time, he’s that much closer to reaching his goal.
