Glendale Raptors head coach Andre Snyman knows his team, technically, has already punched its ticket to the 2016 Pacific Rugby Premiership Grand Final. But after suffering back-to-back losses over the past week – his team’s first two losses on the season – he’s not content to back in to the championship.

Snyman joined Mile High Sports by phone on Thursday to talk about the back-and-forth loss his depleted side suffered to San Francisco Golden Gate on Tuesday, and look ahead to their regular season finale against crosstown rival, Denver Barbarians, on Saturday

Because of tiebreakers, Snyman says, his team is technically already in the Grand Final over third-place OMBAC, but his team can still claim the regular season title with a four-point victory over Denver on Saturday.

San Francisco, whom Glendale will meet for the third consecutive year in the final, has a final week bye – great for recovery, but leaving the door open for Glendale to reclaim the top spot in the PRP.

Glendale and Denver square off at Infinity Park at 3 p.m. on Saturday. The Grand Final is scheduled for 3 p.m. on May 14.
