The Colorado Avalanche could really do without the number 10 these days. On Saturday they lost 10-1 in Montreal, one of the worst losses in franchise history. On Wednesday they fell again, this time to Philadelphia, who won their 10th consecutive game. Ten different Flyers tallied a point in the contest.

Matt Duchene scored twice for Colorado to extend his team-high with 12 goals. Colorado put an all-out blitz on Steve Mason in the second half of the third period, but the Flyers goaltender refused to surrender the equalizer.

Both teams went 0-for-3 on the power play. Gabriel Landeskog took a major penalty for fighting after he had to defend himself for a huge hit levied on Michael Raffl. Jakub Voracek went after the Avalanche captain, but Landeskog ended up getting the better end of both situations. Unfortunately, Colorado was again on the wrong end of the number 10.

Colorado is 2-7-1 over their last ten games and now in sole possession of last place in the NHL with 23 points on the season. They are 4-9-1 at Pepsi Center, the worst home record in hockey.
