The Denver Broncos filled a need with their 2017 first round NFL Draft pick when they selected Utah’s offensive tackle Garett Bolles.

Bolles is a mean road-grader on the field. He only has one year of FBS experience under his belt, but his upside is why he’s a first round talent. He performed well at Utah even though he had a difficult time filling out his 6-foot-5 frame.

There are some downsides to Bolles. He’s 24 years old, only two months younger than the Broncos 2015 draft pick Ty Sambrailo. He also has a checkered past, which is why he only has one year of FBS experience under his belt; it took him some time to regain control of his life and focus on football.

Regardless of the off the field stuff, Bolles has the chance to develop into a solid starter for the Broncos. Time will tell if he wins a starting position for the Broncos before the 2017 season.
