The Dallas Cowboys selected defensive tackle Jordan Carrell in the seventh round of the 2017 NFL Draft. He is the fourth Buff to be selected, and the second the Cowboys have picked after selecting cornerback Chidobe Awuzie with pick No. 60.

Carrell played for two season in Boulder, playing more snaps for the Buffs in 2016 than any other defensive lineman. In his two college seasons, he accounted for 89 total tackles, 13.5 tackles for loss, six sacks, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.

The Cowboys are relatively thin along the defensive line, so he could compete for minutes right away. He joins fellow 2017 draftee Taco Charlton as Cowboys defensive line draft picks.
