The final game in the 49-year history of Hughes Stadium, Nov. 19 against New Mexico, has been chosen to be showcased nationally on ESPN2, and will kick off at 8:15 p.m. MT, it was announced Monday by ESPN and the Mountain West.

The sixth and final game of the 2016 #FarewellHughes celebration will feature a number of special commemorations for fans in attendance, including the football team’s Senior Day, as Colorado State University closes the venerable facility that opened in Fort Collins in 1968.

“Any time we can receive national exposure for Colorado State Football, it is great for our program,” said head coach Mike Bobo. “Our team is excited to play in front of our fans at home for the final time in Hughes Stadium, and to have a national audience be able to witness the energy and the passion around that celebration is going to create a memory we all will embrace. Let’s sell out Hughes Stadium one final time, and continue to build on that momentum in the new stadium in 2017.”

The Rams are 4-1 at home this season after Saturday’s 37-0 victory over Fresno State, and have been victorious in front of their home fans in 15 of the last 19 games at Hughes Stadium, dating back to the 2012 season. In addition, Colorado State brings a record of 9-1 in its last 10 games played in November into this Saturday’s road contest at Air Force.
