For the first time since 2015, the Denver Broncos will not have a controversy at the quarterback position.

Joe Flacco will be the starting quarterback and it appears that Kevin Hogan will be the backup. According to Mike Klis, the Broncos plan on re-signing Hogan after recently non-tendering him.

The Broncos originally claimed Hogan from Washington last September. Prior to his brief time with the Redskins, Hogan spent two seasons in Cleveland. With the Browns, Hogan, made eight total appearances and recorded one start. The former Stanford starter has completed 60-of-101 pass attempts (59.4 percent), thrown four touchdowns and seven interceptions in his professional career.

With Hogan sticking around the Mile High City, the Broncos have three quarterbacks currently on the roster – Garrett Grayson is the third – although it seems unlikely the former Colorado State standout will be on the 53-man roster in 2019.

Even after re-signing Hogan, the remaining question many Broncos fans still have is whether Denver will target a quarterback in the 2019 NFL Draft. If Kyler Murray, Drew Lock or Dwayne Haskins impresses the Broncos brass over the next month, the Broncos may have a hard time passing on yet another young group of quarterback prospects.
