The Colorado Mammoth announced on Tuesday that the team’s coaching triumvirate of Pat Coyle, Chris Gill and Dan Stroup has been signed to two-year extensions that will keep them behind the bench through the 2018 NLL season.

“Pat, Chris and Dan have preached fundamentals, discipline and attitude while implementing their system,” said Mammoth president & general manager Steve Govett. “They have our team headed in the right direction.”

Since taking over midway through the 2014 campaign, the coaches have led the team to three playoff appearances and a 25-18 regular-season record. The 25 regular-season wins are third in Mammoth coaching history behind Bob Hamley (29) and Jamie Batley (26). The current coaching trio should surpass the team mark in 2017.

This past season, Colorado’s 12 wins were one shy of tying the team record set in 2004. The Mammoth’s eight home victories set a new franchise mark, and Colorado’s 9.28 penalty minutes per game were far-and-away the fewest in the NLL.
