Martin Truex Jr., 2017 NASCAR Cup Series Champion with Denver-based Furniture Row Racing, will throw out the ceremonial first pitch prior to Wednesday’s Colorado Rockies game against the New York Mets.

Chad Bettis will take the mound for Colorado on Wednesday (scheduled starter) and while the fastball Bettis hurls reaches 90+ mph, Truex Jr.’s style of fast is 200 mph around corners. Particularly in 2017 when he took home the NASCAR Cup Series Championship.

Truex Jr. sits No. 4 overall in the NASCAR power rankings on NASCAR.Com and sixth in the Monster Energy points standings.

The Denver-based Furniture Row team led by Truex Jr. will be back in action on June 24th as NASCAR heads for Sonoma to race the Toyota / Save Mart 350.
