Media day has always been fun, but the NFL went all out for Super Bowl 50.

For years, the players would wander out to their podium (or their pen, as was the case for many of the Broncos two years ago), answer some questions for awhile and then the general public would hear about it later. Yesterday, though, was appointment viewing.

Each of the Super Bowls’ most-noticable players — Peyton Manning, Von Miller, Cam Newton, etc. — were introduced individually, walking out onto a bridge that overlooked the field at the SAP Center.

And it’s clear the players knew this was a little different than in year’s past; they came out in style …

.. as did Wade Phillips.

The media wasn’t lacking in, uh, style, either.

And the fans got a little excited, too.

Now, as is the case every year, there are some good questions and there are some dumb questions. Likewise, some players give us intelligent, well-thought-out answers, while others are “about that action, boss.”

But, by far, the most important thing Broncos country learned on Super Bowl Opening night is that Gary Kubiak, the head coach of the Denver Broncos, does not have stadium access to the Super Bowl.

The NFL knows Kubiak kind of has to be at the game, right?
