This is your Colorado MMA News Weekend WrapUp.

Fierce Fighting Championships’ New Era event went down on Saturday night, and two Colorado fighters graced the card.

“Hollywood” Brian Mitchell of Factory X, won his featherweight bout, defeating Thomas Hughes by first-round arm-triangle to improve his pro record to 2-1.

Mitchell won the fight after taking it on short notice when Hughe’s original opponent had to drop out for undisclosed reasons. With the early finish, Mitchell picked up the first submission win of his pro career.

Additionally, on the card, Randy Rowland of Elevation Fight Team took on Trever Bradshaw in a bout between two lightweight finishers. Rowland takes a kill or be killed attitude into every one of his fights, and this time was no different.

Rowland was aggressively looking for the finish when he was clipped by a punch that led to his early demise. Rowland would eventually lose the fight by 1st round TKO, falling to 4-5 with the defeat.
