More details are emerging about the Aqib Talib shooting early Sunday morning, while many details about the incident remain cloudy – specifically where he was when he was shot and who actually shot him.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Monday morning that the bullet that struck Talib entered and exited his leg – the team earlier confirmed it was his lower right leg – and that it hit no arteries and tore no ligaments.

In their statement Sunday night the team said Talib is expected to make a full recovery, although they gave no indication of a timeline.

Other mysteries about the incident remain.

WFAA in Dallas reported the shooting on Sunday, claiming there were three victims, all shot at the V Live night club, an adult entertainment venue.

The Dallas Morning News crime blog, however, reported earlier that there were only two victims, including Talib. The Dallas police have two separate incident reports going, one for the nightclub shooting and another for a victim whose injuries were reported at a Dallas-area hospital.

Police believe Talib was shot at the nightclub, although according to WFAA he told them he was in another location when he was shot.

Later in the day Mike Klis reported that someone close to Talib was calling the shooting “accidental” and Sam Cowhick later reported that the injury was self-inflicted.

The “accidental” storyline would seem to follow along with a self-inflicted wound, and would bring more clarity the explanation for the discrepancy between the number of victims and Talib’s statement to police.

The Dallas Police opened the incident report from the nightclub shooting to the public Monday morning and Talib is not listed as one of two complainants. Glen Lumpkin and Vernon White are listed as complainants in the V Live shooting. As of 8:30 a.m. Denver time, the incident report reportedly linked to Talib had not been opened to the public.

Dallas Police provided the following information on Sunday for accessing details about the two cases…

On June 5, 2016 at about 2:45 a.m., Dallas Police officers responded to a report of a shooting victim at Medical City Hospital. The victim stated he was shot at a nearby location. The victim is expected to survive. The offense is documented on case number 135191-2016. Assault detectives are working to determine if this offense may be related to the shooting at 1300 Empire Central. That offense is documented on case number 135175-2016.
