University of Denver alumnus Jeremy Noble was one of three finalist named Wednesday for the National Lacrosse League’s 2015 Rookie of the Year award. Edmonton’s Ben McIntosh and Georgia’s Miles Thompson joins Noble as finalists, all of whom were the top three picks in the NLL’s 2014 Entry Draft.

The Mammoth acquired Noble midway through the season from Rochester, the team who drafted him. The starting forward was the league’s Rookie of the Month in March and led all first-year players in assists with 2.9 per game and was second in points per game with 4.3.

The award won’t be presented until September at the NLL Season Awards Ceremony in Ontario.

Last week, Colorado defenseman Joey Cupido was named a finalist for Transition Player of the Year which will also be awarded in September.
