The Denver Nuggets had a 92-88 lead with 9 minutes to go in the fourth quarter of their road game against the Toronto Raptors. The Raptors reeled off a massive run and never looked back as they pulled away beating the Nuggets 114-110.

Nuggets lost their second straight game, and fourth on their seven game road trip.

Much like the Nuggets game against the Philadelphia 76ers, the team started out very well. The Nuggets and Raptors were tied going into halftime. On the strength of Nikola Jokic’s 29 points 18 rebounds and eight assists in over 40 minutes of play time the Nuggets managed to hold a three point lead after three quarters.

Paul Millsap had a second straight solid game with 20 points and four rebounds. Will Barton and returning hometown boy Jamal Murray struggled shooting all night. Barton finished with 10 points on 4-15 shooting, Murray with 15 on 6-18 shooting.

As was the case against Philadelphia the Nuggets faded in the fourth quarter as the Raptors physical defense bothered the Nuggets as well as a the stellar play of Jakob Poeltl who recovered from a poor first half to make a huge difference.

The Nuggets conclude their seven game road trip with a stop in Oklahoma City on Friday. Nuggets are 40-35 and two games behind the Minnesota Timberwolves for the eighth seed in the Western Conference.
