Coming off of a win against the Utah Jazz, in which Denver Nuggets forward Darrell Arthur put up sixteen points, eight rebounds and one assist. Arthur, who is not known for his offense, told Danny Williams and Ryan Edwards on Mile High Sports Radio that, “If I can knock down a couple shots and get us a couple points that’s good, but as far as everything else goes, my defense is going to come first every night.”

The Nuggets find themselves in the eighth seed of the Western Conference with a little over half of the season played.

“As you can see, when we’re healthy, we’re dangerous,” said Arthur. “We’ve been having little injuries here and there with guys. The starting line-up has changed a lot; but once our team is fully healthy, we’re a dangerous team.”

With rising stars Jamal Murray, Nikola Jokić, and Emmanuel Mudiay to mentor, there are unique opportunities for veterans to make an impact.

“Certain teams you got to have sacrifice, and we’ve got a lot of guys that can score the basketball,” said Arthur. “For me just being that role player, helping out on defense, doing what I can to be the best at my coverage’s, talking and all that stuff is what I go out and try to do every single night.”
