The Nuggets are in need of a bounce-back game after their listless fourth quarter against the Celtics on Tuesday. The good news for Denver is that the Wizards might be the perfect team to get them back on the right track.

Let’s take a look at the different markets out there for Colorado sports bettors in our Nuggets vs. Wizards betting preview, complete with the best odds, picks, and predictions.

Nuggets vs. Wizards Betting Preview

The Nuggets hit a speed bump against the Celtics, but the Wizards should prove to be a far easier test. This is the second game of a four-game Eastern Conference road trip for the Nugs. Nikola Jokic is fresh off of a 43-point outburst against the Celtics. With the porous Wizards defense up next, we expect to see Joker go off again.

The Wizards are one of the worst teams in the NBA, but they still have Bradley Beal and Russell Westbrook in the fold. Denver cannot take Washington lightly.

Bets We Like With A Nuggets Win

Nikola Jokic Over 28.5 Points (-106)

Let’s ride the Jokic wave as long as we can. Even though he is at his best when he’s setting up his teammates, Jokic understands when he needs to shoulder the scoring load. He’s been asked to do that far more often this year than in previous seasons.

He’s averaging 27.1 points per game this year which would be a career-high mark by seven points. He’s also shooting the three-ball at a remarkable rate, canning nearly 40% of his attempts from deep this year. At almost even money, we love the over on Jokic’s points.

Bets We Like With A Wizards Win

Bradley Beal Over 29.5 Points (-150)

Beal is leading the NBA with 33.1 points per game which is a career-high for him. Of course, Beal scoring a ton of points does not guarantee a win for Washington, but it helps.

Denver allowed Jaylen Brown to go for 27 points on Tuesday night and Bradley Beal must be licking his chops for the opportunity to go even bigger.

Bets We Like Regardless Of Outcome

Under 233.5 Points

OK, we understand that we just highlighted Jokic and Beal as two guys who are going to score a lot, but no game has ever gone over the total points based on just two players. Beal and Jokic’s supporting casts leave a lot to be desired right now.

The Nuggets are banged up at nearly every position and the Wizards are…well, they are the Wizards. The total at 233.5 points seems a bit too high.

Nuggets vs. Wizards Prediction, Pick

Denver is going to get back on track against the lowly Wizards in this game. Even in games where Beal puts up insane numbers, the Wizards usually find a way to lose. Denver is on the road, but we still like them to beat Washington in this game.

The Pick: Take the Nuggets laying the points.
