All Tim Connelly ever wanted to do was watch basketball and get paid for it. Growing up in a family with seven kids helped shape Connelly’s love of sports and his work ethic helped shape his path through the NBA to land him a general manager job as a 36-year-old. He’s developed a vast network of friends and colleagues and as you’ll hear him mention several times, those relationships are often fortified “over beers.” On the heels of hiring a new coach, Connelly took time during the busiest week of the year for NBA GM’s to talk family, hoops and who the Nuggets are looking to draft.
