Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning caused quite the stir when he told SI’s Peter King he still can’t feel his fingertips last month.

Manning said he hasn’t been able to feel them for four years after undergoing multiple neck procedures in 2011.

His revelation, of course, caused mass hysteria and many Broncos fans to panic.

While that’s a whole different debate another very interesting development from all this is Manning is now constantly asked about it — and he doesn’t like it. He addressed the issue again on ESPN‘s NFL Live on Wednesday afternoon and admitted something for the first time ever (it involves that much discussed glove).

Of course we could all infer that’s why Manning wears the glove, but this is the first time he’s ever flat out said he uses it because he can’t feel his fingertips.

So when Broncos’ beat writers pepper Manning with questions about the glove in the future (one of the media’s favorite topics) the question should never be why does he wear it; we now know that answer. When he chooses to use it is still a mystery, but Manning probably won’t reveal that anytime soon.

The glove seems to be a week-to-week thing, which, at this point, is kind of like Manning.
