Colorado State head football coach Mike Bobo announced Friday that former Louisville offensive lineman T.J. Roundtree will join the Rams’ program as a graduate transfer. Roundtree will enroll in graduate school at Colorado State will be eligible to play for the 2018 campaign with one season remaining.

Roundtree was with Louisville from 2015-17. The Gainesville, Fla., native appeared in all 13 of the Cardinals’ games in 2016 and played in five in 2017.

The 6-foot-6, 315-pound tackle played on the offensive line at Eastern Arizona Community College in 2014, making three starts. He played two years of high school football at P.K. Yonge High School in Gainesville, was named offensive lineman of the year at his school.

In addition to Louisville, Roundtree drew interest from Florida coming out of Eastern Arizona CC. Roundtree also lettered in basketball and track and field at P.K. Yonge HS.

Roundtree will be added to an offensive line unit that will have to replace three all-conference performers from a year ago. Last season, the Rams o-line paved the way for an offense that ranked 11th in the country and first in the Mountain West with 492.5 yards per game, allowed just 1.0 sack per game, a figure that ranked fifth in the country.
