If you were to try to emulate what Irv Brown has accomplished, you would need two lifetimes.

After sportscasting for the last three-plus decades with his friend Joe Williams, Irv is hanging up the microphone.

Irv had an illustrious career in the sporting world. He started by playing football, baseball, and basketball at North High School here in Denver, while accumulating seven letters along the way. He then played basketball and baseball at the collegiate level.

Irv then worked as an official in six separate Final Fours, and his attitude helped him get there. Everything Irv did was above and beyond the call of duty.

However, his reach expanded farther than just the sporting world. Irv was known for visiting local schools to aid in youth development.

Today is unfortunately his last day as a full-time host of The Irv and Joe Show. Show him some love and share your memories for #IrvBrownDay on Twitter.
