Throughout August, the Colorado Rapids will be celebrating 20 years of Rapids soccer. In those 20 years, the Rapids have come a long way since the inaugural MLS season back in 1996.

In 20 years, the Rapids’ image has evolved a great deal, including three re-brandings and three different logos in their history.

Additionally, since 2007 the Rapids have built a state of the art stadium (Dick’s Sporting Goods Park), which has held numerous big soccer matches at club and international level.

Throughout the 20 years, there have been many great moments for the Rapids franchise with becoming the 2010 MLS Cup Champions being the culminating achievement.

Rapids fans though will never forget the memories from the 1997 run to the MLS Cup Final, the 1999 Lamar hunt U.S Open Cup Final appearance, as well as the MLS conference final appearances in 2002, 2005 and 2006.

Throughout the years, the Rapids have had a good history of being a competitive team.

Now, with the Rapids celebrating the clubs twentieth season of existence, the Rapids tweeted out a link to a video with legendary Rapids players Marcelo Balboa, John Spencer, Pablo Mastroeni, Chris Henderson and Paul Bravo discussing their most memorable games with the club.

For Rapids fans, this will bring back a number of nostalgic memories and certainly put a smile on their faces.
