The Colorado Rapids will close the books on the 2015 home schedule by celebrating Fan Appreciation Night as well as the “Jersey off our Backs” program Saturday at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park against Montreal.
The Rapids will also be handing out plenty of hardware to their own, as the 2015 team awards will be presented following the conclusion of the game and will include Fan Favorite (fan voted), Most Valuable Player, Defensive Player of the Year, and Young Player of the Year (all player voted).
In addition, the team’s Humanitarian of the Year, selected by Rapids Community Relations staff and Kroenke Sports Charities, and the Rapids Academy Player of the Year, chosen by Senior Director of Soccer Development Brian Crookham and the Academy staff, will also be awarded.
The “Jerseys off our Backs” program will offer fans the chance to receive authentic player jerseys on the field in a special post-game ceremony. All Rapids players on the roster will present the lucky fans with their shirts – with those playing in the match presenting their game-worn jerseys.
