According to Olgun Uluc of Fox Sports Australia, the Denver Nuggets are one of six NBA teams that will take part in the second season of the ‘NBA versus NBL’ series next preseason.

This will be the second installment of the series and will feature four more games than it did last season. Preseason games last year featured some highly intensified games, most notably the game between the Oklahoma City Thunder and Melbourne United. The Thunder held on to beat United 86-85 and it was the closest an NBL team got to beating an NBA team in the three 2017 matchups.

With four more games added to the schedule, the series is set to tip off on September 28th and will run through mid-october.

The Nuggets will face off against the Perth Wildcats, who won the NBL championship two out of the last three seasons. Of the Wildcats most notable players, one name NBA fans might remember, is Bryce Cotton. The former Providence Friar had brief stints with the Phoenix Suns and Memphis Grizzlies and is coming off two unbelievable seasons with the Wildcats. After winning NBL Finals MVP in 2017, Cotton followed that up by winning MVP of the NBL in 2018 as well. Cotton’s a guy who can score in a hurry and will be a fun guy to watch when the Nuggets and Wildcats square off in the preseason.

After back-to-back championships in 2016 and 2017, the Wildcats should be a good test for the Nuggets and will bring a new flavor of basketball here to Denver. All signs point to the game being held at the Pepsi Center, but won’t be 100 percent confirmed until the Nuggets release their schedule for next season.
