Fans of Major League Soccer have a bit of a let down coming their way for the 2015 AT&T All-Star game at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City, Colorado. Los Angeles Galaxy striker Robbie Keane will be unable to participate in Wednesday’s star-studded match.

Fans were looking forward to seeing Keane play because he was formerly a part of the team the MLS All-Stars will be facing tonight, Tottenham Hotspur.

Keane made over 200 appearances for the English team in his two stints from 2002-08 and 2009-11. Keane had also previously stated that he was extremely excited to be facing off against his former squad. Unfortunately for Spurs fans, the Galaxy and Keane will have to look at the greater good.

Keane’s injury has yet been identified, but rather than risk hurting himself further, both the Galaxy and Keane decided that the striker should not participate in the game.

The 2015 AT&T All-Star game will take place Wednesday at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City, Colo. The game will start at 7 p.m. MDT and can be viewed on ESPN3, Fox Sports 1 and Altitude TV Network.
