During his career, catcher Ryan Hanigan has worn many uniforms. During his decade in the MLB, he has been a CIncinnati Red, a Tampa Bay Ray and a member of the Boston Red Sox. On Thursday, he will be strapping on his gear and catcher’s mitt for the fist time as a member of the Colorado Rockies.

Signed to a minor-league deal this spring, the 36-year-old Hanigan’s contract was selected by the Rockies on Wednesday. It is a move that was necessitated by the injury to Tom Murphy. Who was put on the seven-day concussion DL after being hit in the head with a bat during a swing on Tuesday.

First pitch is scheduled for 1:40 p.m. MT. If you want to see Hanigan in action however, you’re out of luck Rockies fans. Thursday’s game against the San Diego Padres will not be show on local television.
