The Rockies began their final week of the season at home; dominating the visiting Philadelphia Phillies behind a strong outing by Jon Gray. If the team intends too make the postseason for the second year in a row, however, that win will have to be only a taste of what’s to come in the season’s final six games at Coors Field as the Phillies and Washington Nationals play out the string against a desperate Colorado squad.

They no longer control their destiny, but the St. Louis Cardinals – who hold the final wild-card spot at present – have a much more difficult schedule in the final week.
