Barrie was leading all defensemen in scoring during the tournament, with seven points in three games. He was tied with Avalanche and Canada teammate Nathan MacKinnon for second in overall scoring.

Through three games, Canada is undefeated. They are going for their third straight gold medal in the tournament.

Luckily, according to the Avalanche, the injury isn’t expected to prevent Barrie from missing any of their offseason workouts.

In tournament action on Wednesday, T.J. Compher and Team USA beat Italy, 3-0. Finland defeated Slovakia 5-2, with Mikko Rantanen scoring two points, including this goal.

Rantanen now has one goal and six points in four games.
