Denver Nuggets center Mason Plumlee is a man of many interests — including, surprisingly, the world of art. He spoke with Mile High Sports’ Jeff Morton about how his time in Brooklyn influenced his love of art, and in particular, witnessing the creative process that artists go through.

Plumlee has a new deal and has stood out to Nuggets coach Michael Malone with his impressive play this preseason. Plumlee said his play was affected last season by living out of a hotel and struggling to adapt after his mid-season trade from the Portland Trail Blazers. The hope is that with a full training camp and offseason to settle in — and with a comfortable, new contract — Plumlee will show the promise that led the Nuggets to re-sign him before the season began.
