Von Miller is one of the most dominant pass rushers in the NFL. When he is not busy terrorizing quarterbacks though, Miller is an active member of the community and consistently works with local charities and organizations.

On Thursday, the Broncos announced that Miller and a variety of members of the organization have committed $200,000 to SHIELD16. The Colorado Springs-based nonprofit organization will provide more than 125 advanced protective kits to first responders.

“When I heard there’s been more than 300 mass shootings in the last year alone, I felt like we needed to do something for those who protect us,” Miller said. “I hope that we can all help bridge the gap and work to improve relationships with law enforcement in our communities.”
