As if there was any doubt that Peyton Manning is a global ambassador for the game of (American) football, the future Hall of Famer traveled to China to promote the game that made him a global sensation, along with China’s new American (arena) football league. While in the world’s most-populous country, he stopped to throw some passes on the Great Wall and talk about the prospect of the NFL playing a game there.

Manning says that as an NFL player he would have loved to play a game there and touts the “Birds Nest” (Beijing National Stadium), which hosted the 2008 Olympics Opening and Closing Ceremonies as well as track and field, as an ideal venue for American football.
