The Cody Latimer situation has been a mystery. Throughout training camp all of the stories that surrounded Latimer were positive. His coaches were complimentary, his teammates said he looked like a different player and he himself said this season was going to be different. Then, when the regular season rolls around Latimer is riding the pine.

Jordan Norwood and Bernie Fowler have both passed Latimer on the depth chart. Fowler looked extremely impressive against the Lions, which is bad news for Latimer considering they play the same position. Andrew Mason of denverbroncos.com joined Notaro and Big Dee shed light on the Fowler-Latimer situation.

“Fowler was very good this summer, has been good on special teams (and) they feel like he has earned a shot. Latimer is still getting a jersey on game days but certainly, I mean, if you look at how they’ve used the receivers he is clearly on the third team”, Mason said.

Not much praise for Denver’s second round pick from a year ago. Listen to the full interview below.
