Interest in the Colorado Avalanche is at an all-time high. The San Jose Sharks currently lead the series, 3-2, but Avs fans have been more than a little bit invested in the team’s playoff run.

According to NBC Sports, Saturday night’s Game 5 delivered 0.75 rating, which was 75 percent higher than last year’s Winnipeg-Nashville game (0.58). Locally, Denver’s 9.1 rating was NBC Sports’ highest-ever rating on record for an NHL game in market. Comparatively, San Jose produced 3.4 rating.

Colorado and San Jose will face off in Game 6, Monday night. The puck is scheduled to drop at the Pepsi Center at 8:00 p.m. MT. TV coverage will be provided by NBC Sports Network.
