The Denver Broncos must have liked Kansas City Chiefs special teams coordinator Dave Toub quite a bit. No, not enough to hire him as head coach, but apparently enough to hire his assistant to run their special teams.

The Broncos and Olivo have reportedly agreed to terms, and are expected to finalize a deal on Thursday. He was in the Mile High City on Wednesday for an interview.

A product of the University of Missouri, Olivo has been an assistant special teams coach for the Chiefs for the last three seasons. In 2016, not only did Tyreek Hill emerge as a star returner, but the Chiefs special teams did not allow a single kick or punt return touchdown all season.

The 40-year-old Olive spent four seasons in the NFL, as a running back for the Detroit Lions.
