Broncos waive right tackle Paul Cornick

In a surprising move the Denver Broncos decided to part ways to offensive linemen Paul Cornick today. The second year veteran out of North Dakota State was given an opportunity to seize the starting right tackle job last season but failed miserably.

Cornick started 6 games last season for the Broncos. His poor play forced Denver to overhaul their line mid-season. While his play was underwhelming the Broncos are thin at offensive line and some thought Cornick would be given another opportunity to win the right tackle job.

With Cornick’s departure look for Michael Schofield or Ty Sambrailo to get the first opportunity to open the season as the starter at right tackle.
