The Denver Broncos will travel to Los Angeles on Sunday for its first matchup against the Chargers this season. Winners of six consecutive games, the red-hot Chargers are as dangerous as any team in the league, despite the fact that LA typically plays its home games in front of a crowd of opposing fans.

Following Thursday’s practice, Broncos head coach Vance Joseph told reporters that Elijah Wilkerson will be starting at right guard this week. Wilkerson is a tackle by trade, but the team has had to realign the offensive line after losing center Matt Paradis for the season.

Other than the offensive line though, Denver should take a fairly healthy roster into this week’s matchup. Running back Royce Freeman, wide receiver DaeSean Hamilton and cornerback Bradley Roby were all full participants at practice on Thursday. Based on Joseph’s comments over the last two days, the trio should all be playing on Sunday.

On Wednesday, Joseph said that if he were a betting man, he would expect Freeman to play. The rookie running back out of Oregon has missed the last two games with a high-ankle sprain, so getting Freeman back would be big for depth in the backfield.

Then on Thursday, Roby told reporters that Roby will definitely be playing against the Chargers.

“He’s healthy now, he’s confident and he wants to play well,” Joseph said.

The Broncos will need all hands on deck if the team is going to snap its two-game losing skid on Sunday.
