In 2025 the Colorado State Rams will be hosting the Texas Tech Red Raiders on Saturday September 6. The following year they will travel to Lubbock, Texas for round two on Saturday September 12.

When they square off, it’ll be for the first time since 1987, a game the Rams won.

Today’s announcement establishes the first Colorado State football games scheduled beyond the 2021 season, and brings to 12 the number of future CSU football games scheduled against opponents in Power 5 conferences.

“It is important for our program to build toward the future and face competition that will challenge us and excite our fans,” said CSU head coach Mike Bobo. “We’re excited to play a game and have a presence in Texas, where we recruit heavily, and to be able to bring a Big 12 program to Fort Collins.”
