Over the weekend, Adam Schefter reported that the Denver Broncos’ No. 1 wide receiver, Demaryius Thomas, could possibly miss some time with a hip injury suffered during the team’s opening game versus the Carolina Panthers.

Schefter had said that DT was in the process of getting a second opinion on the injury, putting his short-term availability up in the air.

On Monday, though, Gary Kubiak dropped some good news.

While that’s not a clear indication that Thomas will be playing on Sunday, it’s about as good as we’re going to get at this point.

If Thomas is able to practice at full-go by Wednesday, there’s a solid chance he’ll be out there against the Colts this weekend.

Likewise, Kubiak gave some more good news on injured lineman Ty Sambrailo, who has been out since the early stages of training camp with an elbow injury. According to Kubiak, Sambrailo is back and ready to go, though he’ll have to earn back his playing time.

Even if Schofield holds onto the starting job, this is great news. The Broncos can use as much depth as they can find on the offensive line.
