Denver Nuggets waive Xavier Silas, Donald Sloan

The Denver Nuggets have officially waived Xavier Silas and Donald Sloan, according to the team.

The Nuggets roster is now set at 17, with DeVaughn Akoon-Purcell and Thomas Welsh occupying Denver’s two-way contracts.

Silas played just 15 minutes during the preseason, going 0-6 from the field with two rebounds and one assist.

Sloan played 27 minutes through five games and played a key role in the Nuggets second preseason victory over the Lakers scoring 12 points on 4-8 from the field.
