Jermaine Jones has been named to the 26-man 2016 MLS All-Star game day roster, as announced by All-Star head coach Dominic Kinnear.

He began his MLS career (after more than a decade in Germany) in 2014 with the New England Revolution, tallying two goals in ten games on the road to an MLS Cup loss to the Los Angeles Galaxy.

After a goalless season last year in New England, Colorado picked up the veteran midfielder on March 4 of this year, just in time for the start of the season. Jones missed the first four games of 2016 to suspension related to an incident in last year’s playoffs.

Jones has started every game he’s played this season, scoring three goals and two assists, including his first goal in his April 16 debut against the Red Bulls. He is the Rapids’ 21st All-Star in the club’s 20-year history, after Sam Cronin’s appearance from last year.

The MLS All-Stars will take on Arsenal FC from San Jose’s Avaya Stadium on July 28.
