If NFL.com’s Elliot Harrison, who does the site’s Power Rankings each week, felt the desire to move the Broncos down his list this week after a disappointing loss to the Raiders, fine. I think all of Broncos Country would understand why.

But did he really have to lay into them this hard?

Ouch … that’s, uh, harsh. I mean, he’s not wrong, but it’s as if he gets joy out of knifing his words into our open wounds. The least he could have done is leave out the pun; it would have been better if he just killed the Broncos offense like a normal person.

But yeah, the main reason why the Broncos currently have a third loss on their record is because their receivers can’t catch a ball — which, I’ve been told, is a critical part of their job description.

Nonetheless, that’s a pretty damning “blurb” for a top-six team. Maybe talk about the defense next time?
