LOOK: Philip Rivers shows us exactly what it looks like to lose to the Denver Broncos

Philip Rivers

As sports fans, we’re required to dislike opposing players and teams; we can respect them, of course, but once that ball gets kicked off, it’s personal.

For Broncos fans, there are a lot of players, coaches and franchises that have drawn the ire of Broncos Country, but there aren’t many guys who have consistently angered the great state of Colorado like Philip Rivers. Since the days where he and Jay Cutler were constantly barking at each other from across the field, he’s had a red “X” emblazoned upon his forehead.

Whether it’s his cocky attitude, his trash talking or the look upon his face, there are plenty of reasons for Broncos fans to detest Rivers.

So when the Broncos do put him in his place, which they’ve done quite regularly for the last half decade, it’s always nice to get in a couple extra jabs. Take this shot, for example, which shows Rivers, uh, River-ing, as his Chargers suffer their 12th loss of the season.

Aw, what a sad Philip Rivers …

And it wouldn’t get much better from there. This shot was taken during Manning’s first drive in six weeks. The very next play, C.J. Anderson would rumble 17 yards to the San Diego 1-yard line, before punching it in two plays later to take a 14-7 lead.

If this was your last game playing as a San Diego Charger, Rivers, Broncos Country sure is grateful you let our team beat up on you for the last five years.
