Coming off a dominant performance against the Nevada Wolf Pack on Saturday night, Colorado State wide receiver Michael Gallup has been named the Mountain West Offensive Player of the Week.

Gallup had 13 catches for 263 yards and three touchdowns, helping lead the Rams to a come-from-behind win against Nevada for CSU’s homecoming on Saturday night. The 263 yards were a career high and the second most in CSU history, while the reception and TD totals tied career highs. His yardage total was also the second-most by an FBS player this season.

The 2016 All-MW receiver now leads the NCAA in receiving yards (948), ranks second in receiving yards per game (135.4) and third in receptions per game (8.3). He is also the NCAA’s active career leader in yards per game (110.0 over 20 career games).

Gallup had 200-plus yards for the second time in three MW games this season (212 at Hawai’i on Sept. 30). He now has three 200-plus yard outings in his career and is the only Ram to have to have more than one.

Over his last three games, Gallup has posted 28 catches for 563 yards – the best three-game receiving stretch in CSU history.

The Monroe, Ga., native now ranks seventh all-time in receiving yards at CSU, recording 2,220 in 20 games as a Ram. He is also tied for fifth in receiving TDs (19) and fifth in 100-yard games.

Gallup is the first CSU player to be a MW Player of the Week since Kevin Davis took defensive honors on Oct. 10 of last year. He’s the first Offensive Player of the Week from CSU since teammate Nick Stevens won the award on Sept. 7, 2015.
